I’m Chelsea, the artist behind Vixen Ink, and I’m passionate about creating tattoos that not only enhance beauty but also empower and heal. My journey into cosmetic and paramedical tattooing began years ago with a deep desire to do more than just beautify — I wanted to help people reclaim confidence, tell their stories, and feel at home in their bodies.
In addition to my work as a tattoo artist, I’m also a Director of Special Education on the South Side of Chicago, where I’ve spent over a decade advocating for individuals with disabilities and creating safe, inclusive spaces. This experience deeply influences how I approach tattooing — with care, respect, and a focus on empowerment. Whether it’s hyper-realistic areola restoration, scar camouflage, or gender-affirming tattoos, I’m committed to providing transformative results that go beyond skin deep.
Training and Expertise
My journey in permanent makeup began in 2021, where I built a strong foundation in cosmetic tattooing. In 2022, I expanded my expertise with world-class paramedical tattoo training under Sherah Juarez and Shay Danielle—two of the most renowned leaders in the industry. Sherah, with over 20 years of experience in permanent makeup and paramedical tattooing, has worked alongside top surgeons and hospitals. Through her comprehensive programs, I honed my skills in advanced restorative techniques. Shay, a Master Micropigmentation Technician and Educator with over a decade in the field, has developed highly respected training programs for artists worldwide, further elevating my artistry and precision.
Training under Sherah and Shay—true pioneers in paramedical and cosmetic tattooing—has been an incredible honor. Their mentorship has equipped me with advanced skills and techniques, allowing me to specialize in hyper-realistic areola restoration, scar camouflage, and phalloplasty realism tattooing. These areas demand not only technical excellence but also deep empathy and understanding.
Learning from the best in the industry has allowed me to bring unparalleled artistry and precision to every client. But beyond technique, my work is about healing and empowerment. Every tattoo I create is intentional—designed with purpose to help you feel restored, confident, and celebrated.
