Aftercare
Days 1-2
Blot the treated area every 15 minutes after your appointment, then hourly at home for the first day. Continue blotting periodically for three days to prevent scabbing.
Wash the area twice daily with a mild cleanser (e.g., Dial, Cetaphil, Cerave).
Day 3
Begin using ointment morning and night for three days.
After washing, pat dry and wait 15 minutes before applying a thin layer.
If irritation, bumps, or rash occur, discontinue use.
Healing Timeline
Days 1-2: Slight skin irritation or swelling. Pigment may appear darker and thicker.
Days 3-4: Peeling begins. Skin may feel tight and itchy—start applying ointment.
Days 5-7: Outer color flakes off, revealing a softer color. Some spottiness may occur.
Days 8-30: Pigment "blooms" as dead skin sheds. Final color is visible around 4 weeks.
Avoid The Following:
Avoid exercise, sweating, pools, lakes, beaches, saunas, and direct sun exposure for 10 days.
No makeup on the treated area for at least 5 days.
No facials or chemical treatments for 2 weeks.
Do not pick, peel, or scratch—this can cause uneven healing and pigment loss.
(Eyeliner only) No contact lenses for 5 days. Avoid lash lifts, tints, extensions, or serums for at least 8 weeks.
Follow-Up
Healing takes 6-8 weeks before any touch-ups can be done.
Some clients heal perfectly, while others may need a second session to refine color and shape.
